Kr. V. N. Naik Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha's Arts, Commerce and Science College started in June 1998 with barely 70 students. Since then it has surprised all by its quantitative and qualitative growth in last 20 years. At present around 5000 students are studying in various programmes and courses in the Institution. It has been the policy of the Institution over the years that the poorest of the poor are not deprived of the opportunity of higher education :The motto of our institution is 'Duritanche timir javo' which means, “Let the Darkness of Ignorance in the life of the downtrodden Disappear...” Being at the centre of the city, it is convenient for the students from all parts of the city to commute to the college easily.

We have been constantly striving to bring in improvements both on academic and administrative levels. The number of student has been increasing over the years and the success rate has satisfactorily improved every year. A number of programmes have been introduced during the last 21 years so that students are given more opportunities to opt for the courses of their choice.The teachers with essential qualifications have been recruited which has definitely helped to upgrade the academic standards of the institution. As a result of our conscious efforts and teamwork we have also got the status of a college with permanent affiliation in 2011. In 2012 the UGC Granted 12 BC 2 (F) Status to the College. This has helped the institution to improve the physical facilities and research activities of the departments which ultimately benefit the student community. The College got reaccredited in April 2015 by NAAC and obtained 'B' Grade.
